I've found great open-box deals on a baby swing, an air fryer, and I often order used books. Absolutely zero reason to waste extra money on non-hygiene related items. I also love my local thrift store for cooking and baking items.
YES to all. I just went thrifting. It's amazing. Totally agree -- zero reason to buy new air fryers etc. So much cheaper and usually comes in great condition. And you can return it, if not
Can you do some tests on ACs? I just got scammed into buying a brand new model, and it stopped working in 3 weeks. I called and reported the issue with videos and timestamped details, and the manufacturer finally said they will issue me a refund check. I mean, how the heck was I going to carry an AC back to Walmart to get the same brand and it not work again? FTS! I have worked in client service for over 20 years, and I know how to finagle getting "my side" heard. 90% of the time, I win.
In to report, going from Midea to Frigidaire was a game changer; however, the BTUs are also something I didn't consider. My square footage is much larger in this apartment than anticipated. So, while trying to save on money, I wound more hassled 🤨 You live and you learn, right?
People don't consider square footage and home layouts. My apartment has a doorway that stops the air from really going through. I should've known this being a 20+ year renter 😆
